A short trip for shopping

Yesterday I wrote that it hadn't rained for two weeks and now all the streets are flooded within a short space of time. It is incomprehensible to me that so much rain can fall from the sky at once. Cars are stranded, people are suddenly standing in water up to their knees. The children who were happily dancing in the puddles have disappeared. Our windshield wipers can no longer cope, the windows are fogged up on the inside too, just like my glasses.
I wipe the windows from the inside with the newspaper my Tapalappa was wrapped in. It's only going at walking pace.
Everything looks fresh and there's a pleasant breeze. The people are happy, they can finally go out into the fields.
I met up with Dibba in Sanyang today. The fish factory is really closed, but they don't trust the peace. Anger at the new president is growing. In Sanyang, people have left this party. However, the fishermen (unfortunately) hope that the production of fishmeal will start again. They have received more money from the Chinese for the bone-rich bonga fish than from the villagers. So there are two camps. Some want the factory to reopen, others hope that the things will stay closed. In any case, Barrow has decided that all environmental requirements must be met before they are allowed to start up again.

Kitty 1 and 2 were on the agenda today. I wanted to complete all the projects in one day, but that's not possible. Some of the progress is slow. The gardens look good, but the plumber has left. So we can't get the pipes to the water basins laid completely. Grandpa has already made a plan for the distribution of the beds and the women are pushing. What use is it? The waterman has to come first. Grandpa is confident that it will happen in the next few days. Our sheep are doing well. When it rains they come into Grandpa's kitchen
