An island is green.

Our head of organisation, Kerstin Gebhardt, was on site in The Gambia at the most difficult time, during the rainy season. Visiting the various projects was adventurous or even impossible. When it rained, it rained heavily and the humidity was 90%. She made the most of her time and made two villages happier again.

Jinack Island is complete. 86 families will receive their beds after the rainy season and then they can start growing properly. At the moment, only a few beds are planted with onions. The women and men are overjoyed to have received this support from Hand in Hand.
